NEC released desktop Linux PC

NEC released a Linux pre-installed model as one of their desktop PC
line (for corporate users) "Mate".  Apparently this is their first
time to sell Linux for the desktop market.  Turbolinux 7 workstation
is adopted.  (Dual boot model between Windows XP Professional is also
available.)

They started taking orders on Jan 16.  It is priced at 85,000 yen
(approx $650) (Celeron 900MHz / SDRAM 64MB / HDD 20GB /
10BASE-T,100BASE-TX; customizable (BTO)).
