"Linux / BSD and open source software groups, organisations, freelancer, media, users and supplier now can register themselves in the Linux / OSS contact database and search for contacts, products, applications and contact persons or request further information. By this a growing international Linux / OSS marketing platform has been created. First started in Germany, Switzerland and Austria we are looking for administrators to provide further national languages." German and English versions are available so far. Digital copyright mailing list. There is a new mailing list which is dedicated to digital copyright issues. "The list encourages all levels of discourse, as well as relevant political, historical, cultural, and philosophical approaches to the problem of applying copyright to the digital arena." EventsO'Reilly Open Source Convention deadline approaching. A reminder for those who would like to submit a presentation for the O'Reilly Open Source Convention (to be held July 22-26 in San Diego): the deadline is March 1: one week from today. The conference organizers are still looking for quality presentations on a number of free software topics; see the call for participation for more information. Linux.conf.au 2003 to be held in Perth. The Perth Linux Users Group has announced that the 2003 version of linux.conf.au will be held in Perth next January. Do check out the invitation video... Upcoming Python and Perl events. The European Python and Zope Conference 2002 (EuroPython 2002) will be held in Charleroi in Belgium from June 26 to June 28 2002.
