This is the newest version of my binary distribution of ImageMagick.
The files will move to the places listed in the LSM-entry at the end of
this message. At ftp.wizards.dupont.com and ftp.forwiss.uni-passau.de
there are also RPM packages avaliable.
A detailed description of ImageMagick and it's capabilities can be
found at http://www.wizards.dupont.com/cristy/ImageMagick.html .
The major changes from version ImageMagick 3.9.3 are:
- the binaries are linked with glibc and will (probably) not work
with libc-5.x .
- improved PNG compression using the filtering capabilities
- read support for the Microsoft ICON image format
- support for TrueType fonts thanks to the freetype plug-in.
- stricker font handling. Convert assumes TrueType if the font
begins with an @ , if the font begins with an '-' X11 is assumed
otherwise it is assumed to be a Postscript font.
