Subject: Plan for RTL

Linux is approaching a stable 2.2 release and we are hoping to track that
with a unified 2.2 based RTL version that will

1. Support SMP and non-SMP systems.
2. Have an improved timer interface that will support both general and pure
periodic cases (using Paulo's system for the periodic case).
3. Have fixed floating point support.
4. Have an organized packages release with semaphores, fixed point library,
    com modules etc.
5. Incorporate numerous code cleanups and general optimizations.
6. Incorporate a list of ok and not-ok X-servers.

Suggestions?
